Bryan Danielson has found working with Tony Khan to be a refreshing experience.
Danielson spoke with Gorilla Position about the differences between Khan and any other bosses he has had. Danielson enjoyed great relationships with Vince McMahon and Paul “Triple H”, Levesque when he was their employee. But Khan stands out because of his kindness. Danielson said he had never worked for a boss before Khan who was particularly kind.
“It’s refreshing to me, a little.” He has so many new ideas that I would never have thought of. He’s also a real wrestler, in that he studies the history of wrestling and other stuff. It’s been a ton of fun,” Danielson said.
“The only thing that is hard is that Tony has a super kind nature. He’s an incredibly kind person. I’ve never had a boss that was so kind [laughs]. I had a good relationship with Vince. Hunter and I had a wonderful relationship. When I was in Ring of Honor I had a good relationship with Gabe Sapolsky. You know what I’m saying? You know, in the sense that they were all being nice to each other. This kind of thing has been refreshing. It’s been a lot of fun. It’s been fun. “It’s just been different.”
Danielson says that the three years he spent with AEW were the most fun he has ever had in professional wrestling. Danielson enjoyed his time with WWE, but he doesn’t regret leaving in 2021. Danielson likes the in-ring style of AEW, and he thinks AEW has improved the pro wrestling industry for everyone.
Danielson will be competing against Swerve Strickland at All In in the next few weeks for the AEW world championship. Danielson, who is also a contributor to AEW in the background, will retire from ring competition if he defeats Strickland.
